Fresh off a massive medal haul at the Batang Pinoy 2025 National Finals, Davao’s gymnastics sensations Harvey Nuique and Jiahn Rych Madridano are officially back in the gym with their sights set on regional dominance. The duo has transitioned from the national stage back to local soil, eyeing a repeat of their previous successes as they prepare to defend their titles in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) at the DAVRAA 2026.
National Glory to Regional Defense
Harvey Nuique enters the 2026 season as a formidable force. At the recent Batang Pinoy National Championships, Nuique capped off a stellar performance with four gold medals and one silver, ruling the individual trampoline, tumbling, all-around, and team events. Despite having only two weeks of formal training prior to that national meet, Nuique proved that his veteran composure is second to none.
Joining him is the equally impressive Jiahn Rych Madridano. Having dominated the Davao City Athletic Association (DCAA) Meet to earn her spot, Madridano has become a household name in the local gymnastics scene. Her return to the DAVRAA stage signals a clear message to the rest of the Davao Region: the standard has been set, and it is golden.
